Wireless Thermostats
Wireless Zone Stats (the two zones' room units)
In short
The wireless zone stats are the two wireless room units of an OpenTherm two-zone set, side by side: zone 1 and zone 2.
If this is your home: this page is written for heating engineers. Mains wiring and gas appliances are not DIY jobs; call a Gas Safe registered engineer. If you smell gas, leave the building and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
What it is
The WIRELESS ZONE STATS are the two wireless ROOM UNITS of an OpenTherm two-zone set, side by side: ZONE 1 and ZONE 2. Each has its own setting, its own - and + buttons, and a flame while it calls.
They run on batteries, and talk to their OpenTherm Receiver by radio: there are no wires.
On site each zone's room unit is in its own room. Here both feel the one Room on the Conditions card.
In this simulator each one calls when the room is more than half a degree below its setting: 18 °C calls in the 17 °C room, and 17 °C does not. It stays calling until the room is half a degree above its setting. It asks for warmer water the further the room is below its setting.
Each is set from 5 to 30 °C, and they come at 15 °C.

What the meter reads
Zone 1 turned up more than half a degree above the room: its flame shows, and the receiver's zone 1 light and relay come on. Zone 2 stays as it was.
Both zones calling: the receiver asks the boiler for the higher of the two requests.
