For college IT and tutors

Will the simulator run on this PC?

One minute, nothing installed, nothing stored. Run it on the PC and the network the learners will use, then send the result to whoever looks after the network.

In short

The simulator’s display runs in the browser on the PC and its electrical calculations run on our servers, over ordinary secure web traffic. So a classroom PC needs three things: a recent browser with WebGL 2, a path to drawwarm.com and sim.drawwarm.com on port 443, and ordinary broadband. This page tests each one and prints the allow-list.

The speed and round-trip tests download a few megabytes from Cloudflare’s test service. Nothing about this PC is sent to us; the report exists only in your clipboard or the email you send.

For the network

The allow-list

HostPortsWhat it is for
drawwarm.com, www.drawwarm.comTCP 443The website, sign-in, the account page.
sim.drawwarm.comTCP 443 (HTTPS and secure WebSocket)The simulator’s display, served only to a signed-in learner, and the live connection to the learner’s session.
*.supabase.coTCP 443Accounts, progress, sessions.
challenges.cloudflare.comTCP 443The bot check on the free demo.
checkout.stripe.com, js.stripe.com, billing.stripe.comTCP 443Payments. Not needed on learner PCs in a college.
speed.cloudflare.comTCP 443This check page only.

Outbound only; nothing inbound. No proxy exceptions beyond these hosts, and no UDP: there is no video stream. The live connection is a secure WebSocket on port 443, which a few web filters block. Current as of 30 September 2026.

For the PC

Minimum specification

Minimum
ComputerAny laptop, desktop or Chromebook from about 2018; 4 GB of memory; a mouse or trackpad. Phones and tablets are not supported.
Screen1280 × 720 or larger. 1920 × 1080 is comfortable.
BrowserChrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari from the last two years, with WebGL 2 and WebAssembly (both are on by default). Not Internet Explorer.
ConnectionOrdinary broadband, steady for the length of the session. The launch downloads tens of megabytes; after that a session uses very little.
InstallNothing. Nothing readable is stored on the PC, and no learner data.

Questions from IT go to hello@drawwarm.com and are answered by the person who built it. The procurement pack with the data-processing agreement and the accessibility statement is on the college page.
