Y-Plan Wiring
In short
Master the Y-Plan system with hands-on wiring. Connect the 3-port valve and see mid-position operation in action. You will wire the 3-port mid-position valve, connect thermostats correctly, test all valve positions, complete full system wiring.

Introduction to Y-Plan Systems
One 3-port mid-position valve instead of two zone valves.

Power Supply Connections
Land and prove the supply.

Programmer Connections
A Y-Plan uses THREE programmer outputs - including HW OFF.

3-Port Mid-Position Valve
Connect the valve's five cores.
- 05
Room Thermostat Wiring
The room stat's call drives the WHITE core.
- 06
Cylinder Thermostat Wiring
Both contacts of the cylinder stat are used in a Y-Plan.

Boiler and Pump Connections
Terminal 8 fires the boiler - from the cylinder stat or from the valve's orange.

System Test
Commission the Y-Plan against its full truth table.
